Good Morning Sunshine Smoothie Recipe

Home, sweet home. Isn't San Diego lovely?

Since a last minute trip to my hometown was out of the question I decided to add a little sunshine to my day by making a smoothie bright enough to rival the Southern California sun for breakfast. This was my first time making this particular smoothie and it was delightful. It definitely brightened my morning. As nutritious as it is bright, this smoothie will be making more appearances in my morning smoothie rotation.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 banana
  • 2 California mandarins  (feel free to use any variety of orange you prefer)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2 inch to 1 inch of ginger
  • 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder

Directions

1. Add all ingredients to your blender, adding the water last.

2. Blend until smooth.

3. Enjoy!

Makes 1 serving.
